You are hereby notified that the Town of Harrisville Zoning Board of Adjustment will hold a public hearing on Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at 7:00 pm at town offices*, 705 Chesham Road, to consider the following:
Akhil Garland, 9 Island Street (Map 32 – Lot 24), applying for a Special Exception under Article 5.3.1 to remove an existing 18’ x 18’ deck and replace it with a covered porch of the same dimensions, relocating the porch 3’ 2” further from Harrisville Pond. The applicant also proposes to reduce the lot’s impervious cover by removing an existing concrete patio and converting the existing driveway to a pervious surface. This .25-acre lot and its structure are non-conforming and are located in the historic, village residential and the lakeside districts.
The board may take up any other business that may legally come before it.
