Select Board:  Andrew Maneval, Andrea Hodson, Kathy Scott
Attendees: Fire Chief Wayne Derosia, Police Chief Steve LaMears, Town Clerk Cathy Lovas

Agenda, minutes of 5/23 – With the addition of a discussion with Chief Derosia, the board approved the agenda. For the minutes of 5/23, Mr. Maneval clarified that the motion regarding the Transportation Committee should read that the committee will “work with” the Planning Board, rather than “report to” the Planning Board, on matters related to PB concerns. The board voted in favor to approve as amended.

Fire Department – Chief Derosia reported that the Tanker truck is leaking oil and requires diagnosis from a pump specialist. The board approved the Chief’s request to contact W.D. Perkins to come look at it.

Recycling Center – Kathy Scott stated that another candidate for the attendant position will be interviewed next week. The RC Committee will continue to assess available budget for additional certified operators to substitute if needed. Mr. Maneval will contact MDS to discuss removal of 3 MDS bins on Mon 6/24 or Tues 6/25 and to request a draft updated contract. Mr. Maneval also will coordinate with RC Manager Ben Hoy and ask him to attend the Select Board meeting on 6/13.

Staffing, update – Candidate interviews for the finance position are under way, with a recommendation to be brought forward in the next two weeks.

Joint Conservation Commission/Select Board meeting – The SB will meet with the HCC, lake association representatives and lakeside property owners on Wed 6/5 to discuss the health of the town’s water bodies as well as the 3 lake host programs. The SB noted other potential topics of interest for the HCC and will bring these to the HCC.

Beach parking enforcement – The board clarified questions related to beach parking enforcement, noting the following: Enforcement applies to the pull-off area on the east side of Silver Road, across from the beach parking area, subject to police department discretion; Property owners are allowed to purchase 1 sticker per vehicle registered to their Harrisville address and one additional sticker for a guest or tenant; any appeals of enforcement action or sticker policy should come to the Select Board.

At 10:40 am per RSA 91A:3II and discussion of a welfare case, the board moved and voted unanimously to enter nonpublic session to discuss a welfare case. The board will contact the Welfare Director who can then contact the resident. At 10:43 am, the board voted unanimously to exit nonpublic session.
