Meeting Minutes
The Historic District Commission held a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Town Hall, 705 Chesham Road.
Members present: Noel Greiner, Chair; Sarah Tibbetts, Vice Chair; Kathy Scott, Select Board Alternate Representative; Michael Price; Kully Mindemann. Absent: Rex Baker
Attendees: Nick Colony
The meeting opened at 7:00 pm.
Agenda and Minutes of previous meeting – Approved.
Election of Officers – Deferred to the April meeting.
HDC Membership – The HDC welcomed Nick Colony, in attendance to express interest in joining the board. Mr. Colony noted his attendance at many prior meetings over the years and his vested interest in the mission of the HDC as a resident in the historic district. The next step is for the Select Board to sign the oath of office.
Conflicts of Interest Policy – The new policy, adopted at Town Meeting in March, is relevant for all board and committee members, town officials and employees. Signatures are required and to be kept on file with the Town Clerk.
New business – Mr. Colony asked the board if approval is required to plant trees on historic district properties. He would like to plant a couple where old images of his and his parents’ parcels show maples and possibly elms to have existed. The board noted the HDC does not have jurisdiction over planting of trees, only removal.
An application for a heat pump system in the district is anticipated for the April meeting, scheduled for Tuesday, April 23, at 7:00 pm.
