Meeting Minutes
Members present: Ryan Stone Co-Chair, Courtney Cox Co-Chair, Andrew Maneval Select Board Representative, Lisa Anderson, Don Scott, Peter Thayer, Jonathan Miner
The meeting opened at 7:00 pm.
Agenda, Roles and Voting Members – Mr. Stone named the voting members for the evening as Ryan Stone, Courtney Cox, Peter Thayer, Lisa Anderson and Andrew Maneval.
Approval of Agenda – Members voted in favor to approve the agenda.
Minutes of previous meeting 12/13/2023 – Members vote in favor to approve the December minutes with Ms. Cox abstaining due to early departure.
-Master Plan ReView Steering Committee – Lisa Anderson will distribute a copy of the tri-fold brochure, printed by Gwarlingo Studios, with highlighted edits, for members to review and comment. The draft will include the added paragraph on regional cooperation.
-Applications/Check list, Minor Subdivision – Members reviewed the minor subdivision application form and plat submission checklist requirements, with the goal of ensuring the requirements are up to date and consistent. Mr. Stone will present the next draft for review at the next meeting. PB members should send any additional, particular, concerns to Mr. Stone for discussion in February.
PB Budget, proposed – The PB reconfirmed that the proposed 2024 PB Budget is $6,240, compared to $7,740in 2023.
Village Road Project – Mr. Stone asked about existing sewer and water lines under Church and School Streets, concerned that future repairs to these lines would require digging up newly laid asphalt and drainage infrastructure. Road committee members assured that the Select Board, the Road Rebuild Committee and Historic Harrisville, who owns the lines, are all aware of the existing infrastructure and plans for the road project. Project plans depict locations of septic, water and utility infrastructure.
New business
-Recycle Center Committee – With the rolling off of the Recycle Center Committee by Courtney Cox, the committee seeks a replacement representative from the PB. Separately, the board noted the community Conversation on January 9 was attended by 25-30 people, despite tough weather conditions.
-Select Board Budget Hearing Dates are Thursday, 1/18 and Thursday, 2/8 at 7:00 pm. PB members are encouraged to attend.
