Meeting Minutes
Select Board: Andrew Maneval, Andrea Hodson. Absent: Kathy Scott
Attendees: Police Chief Steve LaMears
The meeting opened at 6:30 pm. The board immediately moved and voted in favor to enter non-public session per RSA 91A:3II(b) to interview a job candidate and subsequently to consider the terms of a conditional offer. At 7:05 pm, the SB moved and voted in favor to exit nonpublic session and voted in favor to keep the non-public session minutes sealed.
Agenda, minutes – The board approved the agenda and deferred a vote on the minutes.
Police Department – The SB asked the chief to enhance department presence on Hancock Road at or around commuting time. The chief agreed.
Road project update – The board will confirm with the Road Agent the status of Eastside Road.
Preliminary tax rate – The board discussed the preliminary tax rate sent from DRA, noting it will verify the fund balance with DRA and the overlay amount with the Assessor. The board anticipates setting the rate next week.
All States invoice for road paving – The board will review the overage with the vendor.
Other business
– The SB moved to sign and send the response letter to John and Anne Cucchi regarding RSA 674:39 on eligibility for 5-year exemption
-Code Enforcement – The SB will revisit zoning issues with the code enforcement officer and is deliberating any code enforcement action.
-Community Power Coalition of NH – Andrea Hodson noted that CPCNH has received export data from Eversource on net energy metering but still awaits credit.
-The SB supports the library trustees’ hiring of a part-time employee.
-The SB signed the pay warrant in the amount of $167,3245.08.
SB meeting dates for November – 11/9 or 11/11 (to be confirmed), 11/14, 11/16 and 11/30. The agenda for the next meeting will focus on tax rate and budgeting issues.
