Agenda, Minutes – The board moved to approve the agenda and minutes as written.

Transportation Committee – Earl Horn reported that the Route 137 speed radar sign is reinstalled and functioning properly. He will report to the Transportation Committee on the data collected. For the school safety zone speed radar signs, supported by a second MAST grant through Southwest Region Planning Commission (SWRPC), the board and Transportation Committee representatives discussed with the Road Agent the requirements for installation and requested his assistance. Mr. Tarr will help as needed.

Separately, the SB acknowledged the proposed 2023 budget item for cloud service related to radar data. The vendor will adjust the cost to discount the months when the sign was malfunctioning and data downloads were inaccurate.

It came from The Mitchell Group’s All States Construction, who bid a total project cost of $89,345 for 1070 tons of material @ $83.50/unit.  The SB reviewed the bid and noted it was complete. Following discussion, Kathy Scott moved to award the paving contract to All States Construction as presented. All voted in favor. The board will forward a formal bid award notice to All States.

Subsequently, the board discussed the warrant article for Sunset Hill roadwork, as approved at Town Meeting. The project must be completed by December 2023.

Wes Tarr informed the board that he received notification from the truck manufacturer that the price for the dump truck price will increase by $6,500. He anticipates a cost of $156K for cab and chassis plus 92K for dump body and plow blades.
