Town Meeting
Skatutakee Lake Association– Paul Brock expressed appreciation to the Select Board for recommending the Warrant Article proposing a $20,000 town contribution toward the Skatutakee Lake Dam repairs. He submitted a letter to the board outlining related expenses incurred to date by the association and sources of funds received.
Moderator– The SB reviewed the proposed Warrant with Moderator Bryan Kingsbury and discussed logistics for the March 10 Town Meeting.
Town Clerk– The question as to polling hours was discussed, as this year polls will close at 7:00 pm rather than the previous 8:00 pm poll closing time. All discussed the extra effort that would be made to get the word out about the earlier closing, even though all postings have shown the 7:00 time as legally required. Ms. Lovas provided the board and moderator with a list of positions to be elected from the floor during the deliberative session.
The Select Board office will work with the school to coordinate audio-visual equipment and preparation and setting up of voting booths and tables.
RFP for Paving
The SB is finalizing an RFP for summer paving work and will discuss further with Road Agent.
Other
The SB moved to approve the meeting minutes of January 30, February 13, February 20 and February 28.
The SB signed the pay warrant in the amount of $15,548.78.
The SB will further discuss with employees moving to a biweekly payroll schedule and will distribute a schedule.
Conservation Commission – Kathy Scott shared with the SB that the HCC had voted to nominate Diana Shonk as a new member of the commission.
