Departments, Boards and Committees:
Department Heads – The SB will propose a Department Head meeting for Friday, October 25th, at 9:00 am. Kathy Scott will contact all to confirm availability.

Safety Committee – The SB acknowledged receipt of the recent Safety Committee report.

Code Enforcement – The SB reviewed the revised application form for building permits with input from the Building Inspector. Jay Jacobs will draft language related to the posting of performance bonds/Surety in the case where applicants/contractors use public roads to stage equipment.

Highway Department – The Road Agent updated the board that the Prospect Street bridge culvert and railings are in. The Road Agent also shared a quote he received from Morton Salt for bulk salt. Subsequently, the SB signed an additional agreement to purchase salt, if needed, but with no obligation. The purpose is to lock in an alternate source if needed. The price is $80.25 per ton for dry salt and $64.25 per ton for wet. SB also noted that the timber to repair the Prospect Street bridge railing over the canal arrived and will be installed.

Other
SB signed financials in the amount of $14,254.17.

SB signed a propane contract with Rymes for $1.39 per gallon for library and fire station fuel.

The board moved and voted to approve the Minutes of October 3rd with the addendum that the board moved and voted in favor to seal the minutes of the non-public session portion.

Subsequently, per RSA 91-A:3II(a), at 7:50 pm, the SB moved and unanimously voted in favor to enter into non-public session to continue discussion of personnel matters. The board stated that, in response to questions about Angela Hendrickson’s release, the SB as a matter of policy holds confidential the details surrounding personnel matters, and will hold confidential the details of Ms. Hendrickson’s departure. The board acknowledged, however, that her last date of employment was October 3rd and that, in recognition of Ms. Hendrickson’s past service, she was offered, and accepted, transition support.  At 7:59 pm, SB moved and voted unanimously in favor to exit non-public session.

SWRPC – The SB received an update from Lisa Murphy on the Road Surface Maintenance and Inventory Plan. SWRPC representatives will meet October 15th with the Road Agent and will keep us informed over next three months about the status.
