Meeting location: Town offices
Date: June 13, 2019
Members present: Jay Jacobs Kathy Scott, Andrea Hodson
Meeting opened: 7:00 pm; Meeting adjourned: 9:15 pm
Members of the public: John Cucchi, Anne Cucchi
Residents and Guests:
The Select Board received a submission of John and Anne Cucchi in response to the previous submission of Pamela Worden and Charles Faucher. The Cucchis contend Ms. Worden and Mr. Faucher omitted important legal and other documents supporting the position that the town owns the fee relative to the parcel Ms. Worden seeks to merge with an adjacent parcel on Skatutakee Road. These documents include, among others, the 1941 deed from Boston & Main Railroad to the Town, copies of the Warrant Articles and accompanying material from the 1978 and 2007 Town Meetings, and the 1981 Master’s Report of NH Superior Court in Town of Harrisville v. Patrick Clooney. The Cucchis believe the issue of Ms. Worden and Mr. Faucher rests not with the town but with the previous owner of their property. The board will review the material.
Departments, Boards and Committees:
Highway – Work continues on Hancock Road and expected to be complete with two weeks, weather depending. Separately, the board discussed the option of having Southwest Region Planning Commission survey, in conjunction with the Road Agent, all the paved roads in town. SWRPC offers this service, if requested, to support towns’ long range budgetary and maintenance/planning needs. Board and Road Agent will discuss further.
Board and Road Agent discussed job descriptions for prospective new hires.
Old Home Days– The board had a brief discussion of the upcoming events and see it as an opportunity to begin planning of sesquicentennial celebration in 2020.
