NH Preservation Alliance
The group discussed the benefits of joining the alliance and all agreed it was a good idea. The NHPA’s annual meeting is May 31 in Littleton and the anticipated cost is $50-55 per member. Expected agenda includes Standards for Rehabilitation and ADA issues related to preservation. Online registration for the conference begins April 12.
Following discussion, Noel Greiner moved that the HDC join the NHPA for $50 membership fee and that any members wishing to attend are invited to do so. Members voted unanimously in favor. The HDC will ask Angela to activate the New Hampshire Preservation Alliance membership and send in fee and request that memberships be in name of town, if possible, so that members of all boards could be eligible to attend conferences.
Recruitment of new members
Members discussed the recruitment process and names of potential recruits. Members each took several names to contact by phone. The group also discussed whether or not it would be a conflict of interest for Historic Harrisville executives to sit on the HDC. No decision reached.
Next meeting of the HDC is April 24, 2019 at 7:00 pm.
Meeting adjourned at 10:02 am.
