SB approved Meeting Minutes of December 6th/7thand December 13, 2018.
SB acknowledged receipt of letter from resident requesting repaving the section of Mason Road and Willard Hill Road. SB noted that Hancock Road is on the schedule for 2019 but it will keep the request in long range highway planning.
SB acknowledged receipt of letter from Town Attorney regarding pending litigation over tax matter.
Departments, Boards and Committees:
Assessing – SB signed Current Use Applications for Allan Saari and Richard Sims.
Code Enforcement Officer – SB noted signed building permits for Jay Frazier of 290 Chesham Road and Guy Pettis of 5 Sargent Camp Road.
Fire Department – SB acknowledged receipt of the letter from the Department of Labor regarding processing of payroll.
Historic District Commission – SB noted cancelled HDC meeting for December 26 and that next meeting is January 23, 2019.
Planning Board – SB signed extension of Complete Streets Resolution to a 5-year term ending December 2023; SB signed memo regarding Jaquith Road matter.
Tax Collector – SB signed notice of abatement and refund.
Other Business:
Jay Kahn – State Senator discussed a variety of issues with SB, including education, emergency management, state pension system, town meeting procedures, telecommunications initiatives, DES permitting and fees, and firefighting training. Senator is reaching out to all municipalities in District 11 and hopes to support their needs in next legislative session.
Emergency Management Director – Jeff Cady met with SB to review proposed budget for 2019, including a $2,000 stipend, an agreed upon hourly rate during emergencies and a request for $500 for maintenance, repair and miscellaneous expenses. SB discussed creating an agreement document stating responsibilities and compensation that both parties will sign. Group also discussed the meeting of the Joint Loss Management Committee 4 times per year and building inspection schedule.
SB acknowledged receipt of public hearing notice from Antrim Planning Board and NH.GOV classes and training.
