Fire Station Roof

Background:

The project site is a .25 acre lot located on Prospect Street (Map 32, Lot 33), with a one and half story 2 bay garage built in 1905.

Project Scope:

Provide bid quote on 1000-1100 square feet for 20 year architectural gray or black shingles; stripping of the old roof, drip edge, and flashing around the chimney. The proposal to also include disposal of the old roof by dumpster, or hauling to our demo container at the Harrisville Recycling Center located on Willard Hill Road. Proof of insurance is required. Date of Completion September 1, 2018.

Proposal Requirements:

Submit a sealed proposal to the Office of Selectmen by the date and time indicated and at the address on the Cover Page.

Include a cover letter, proof of insurance, brief statement of qualifications, a proposed project schedule, and a fixed price proposal for the work.

By submitting a proposal, the Contractor represents that they have examined the site and satisfied themselves that they can complete the project successfully for the amount bid within the time frame indicated.

Selection Process:

A minimum of three price proposals shall be solicited for the Project.  Firms to be considered for selection must carry workman’s’ compensation insurance and business liability insurance, and submit proof of same.

The Select Board will review proposals conforming to this RFP and may review the written proposals with interviews of the individuals or firms being considered.

The Town of Harrisville reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals, to abandon or revise the project, and/or to reissue an RFP for the same project. The Town also reserves the right to negotiate with the proposer that is determined to be in the best interests of the Town.
