SB signed weekly cash disbursements in the amount of $140,228.08.
Following proposed amendments by Kathy Scott to the street light portion of the Select Board’s Meeting Minutes of May 17, SB approved the meeting minutes by a vote of 2-1 with the addition of the following sentence: There is no asset value to the existing Harrisville street lights. Ms. Scott opposed approval, believing additional detail should be included in the discussion about the conversation with Eversource.
SB reviewed the Report on Internal Control Based on an Audit of Basic Financial Statements and the Independent Auditors’ Report and acknowledged the draft was for discussion purposes only. In addition, SB is in receipt of a document of significant audit findings, in which auditors remind SB to collect unpaid taxes and to receive audit information from the library in a timely manner. SB noted that library needs to submit audit information by mid-January at the latest.
SB acknowledged Letter from John Cucchi dated May 16, 2018.
SB acknowledged receipt of the program for the Memorial Day Remembrance Service.
Departments, Boards and Committees:
Assessor– SB signed Timber Tax Levy for Hillsborough Aggregates, LLC.
Common Threads – Article has been submitted by the SB.
Conservation Commission – Harry Wolhandler met with the SB to discuss the letter from Monadnock Conservancy requesting a survey on the Patton property. SB stated the town has not received the deed and that any action at this time is premature.
Historic District Commission – SB acknowledged receipt of Meeting Minutes for May 15, 2018.
Library Trustees – SB acknowledged receipt of Meeting Minutes for ay 16, 2018.
Recycling Center – SB will talk to the staff about sanding the hand rails.
Transportation Committee – SB signed copies of letters to the DOT regarding a safety zone at the school and a crosswalk by the General Store.
ZBA – SB signed Oath of Office for Pegg Monahan, who can now be sworn in by the Town Clerk.
Other Business:
SB reviewed and approved the proposal from Historic Harrisville regarding repair of the guardrails along Canal Street at a reasonable cost and using similar materials.
SB acknowledged receipt of NHPDIP Investment Rates and Benefits and Legislative Bulletin.
