Meeting opened: 7:00 pm. Meeting continued: 9:25 pm until 1:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2018 for budget preparation.

Documents signed and reviewed:
SB signed weekly financials in the amount of $165,891.96.
SB signed Continued Selectmen Meeting Minutes for January 16, 2018, Selectmen Meeting Minutes for January 18, 2018 and Continued Selectmen Meeting Minutes for January 23, 2018.
SB asks Angela Hendrickson to forward a copy of the July 26, 2007 handwritten letter from Judith Patton to the Harrisville Select Board to Silas Little and ask that he draft letter to Jim Patton regarding disposition of the land. It should be noted that Judy Patton died in 2017. Jay Jacobs will provide some additional information regarding the property.
Departments, Boards and Committees:
Assessing – SB signed letter for Cross Country Appraisal.
Building Inspector – SB noted approved building permit for Akhil Garland of 164 Cobb Hill Road.
Conservation Commission – SB acknowledged receipt of the email from Winston Sims regarding the article for Common Threads, the proposed agenda for February 7 and the first draft of an outline for a Community Conversations on watersheds.
Highway Department – Following a discussion with the Road Agent and Mr. Lerandeau on estimates for road work, Jon Miner moved to accept the proposal from All States Asphalt subject to the February 1 budget hearing, after which a final decision will be made. All voted in favor.
School Board – SB noted that the regular meeting will be held January 29 at 4:30 pm and acknowledged receipt of the agenda for the special meeting on February 7 at 4:30 pm.
Zoning Board – SB acknowledged receipt of the meeting minutes for January 17, 2018.
Police Department – Regarding the Town Parking Ordinance, SB amends its determination accorded in the minutes of January 18, 2017 as follows: The new parking fine chargeable on town roads is $25 if paid to the Town Clerk within 72 hours. If a parking ticket is issues but not paid within 72 hours, the fine will be increased to $35. To the extent that any legal efforts are required to collect a ticket issued by the Harrisville Police Department, the fine will increase to $50. This ordinance applies to all parking on town roads or places where the town has authority with respect to parking in the Town of Harrisville.
Other Business:
Office equipment – Andrew Maneval moved to approve Alexis’s recommendation for a box replacement for tax lookup. All voted in favor. Subsequently, Jon Miner moved to accept Alexis’s recommendation for the Dell laptop computer with a 1-year warranty for $854. Andrew Maneval seconded. All voted in favor.
