SB signed Selectmen Meeting Minutes for December 28, 2017.

Departments, Boards and Committees:
Building Inspector – SB acknowledged receipt of the signed building permit for Bryanne and Bryan Kingsbury of 21 Canal Street (Map-32 Lot-30).

Conservation Commission – SB acknowledged receipt of Draft HCC Report for 2017.

Highway Department – SB affirms its policy of not plowing or maintaining the alley behind St. Denis’s Church, as referred to in the minutes of December 28, 2017. SB has considered the question of placing a sign at the entrance to the alley regarding road maintenance. SB has determined because it does not own and is not responsible, that placing a sign there is inappropriate and potentially misleading.

Library Trustees – SB acknowledged receipt of meeting minutes of December 27, 2017.

Recycling Center – With respect to the Recycling Center the SB received certain recommendations from Phyllis Tarr.  SB agrees that every effort should be made to prevent excessive speed of cars through the Recycling Center. SB approves getting signs made both with respect to speed limit and proper parking. In addition, SB also approves sign to indicate that cardboard needs to be broken down before being deposited in container. Selectman Maneval will be in touch with Phyllis to discuss these points.

Tax Collector – SB signed all five tax refund requests. SB requests that, in the future, the Tax Collector specifically state whether she recommends the payments be made or not.

Other Business:
Historic Harrisville – SB noted that Hamblet Electric picked up the test bulb dropped off by Erin Hammerstedt.  SB requests that Angela contact Hamblet to request that they notify the town when the bulb is installed. Separately, SB acknowledged receipt of the email from Ms. Hammerstedt regarding the plowing of Church and School Streets. (See Highway Department below for more on this.)

Eversource – SB acknowledged receipt of Municipal primary point of contact, 2018 new prices for postage and email regarding Quick Question Safety Data Sheet Management.
