Other Business:
Street Light Project – Doug Walker updated the SB, stating he hasn’t been able to reach Paul Houseman from Eversource to discuss assessing the Jamestown Radial Wave fixture for their LED program. If that fixture doesn’t work, the HDC also is pursuing receiving pricing from PEMCO for a retrofit option and reaching out to other manufacturers to identify four fixture vendors. If the existing fixtures aren’t workable, the HDC reiterated its hope to retain them for the town’s use. Mr. Walker also reiterated the HDC’s ultimate hope of finding a fixture that meets the criteria for Eversource, the Warrant Article and the historic ideals of the town and stated it is moving ahead as quickly as possible to find a solution and, responding to the SB’s concern that the process was being stalled, Doug Walker stated they in no way intend to stall the process. Jay Jacobs stated that obtaining the existing fixtures for inventory would be a separate track and would be separate from the SB’s scope. Jay Jacobs outlined the basic parameters of the program, including the 20K budget, the calculated cost savings and keeping lumens within cost-savings calculations. The HDC and Erin Hammerstedt stated they will move forward with a draft RFP and vendor options. The SB suggested the HDC meet with Russ Downing to request his input.
