SB signed Selectmen Meeting Minutes for May 25, 2017.

SB reviewed John Hancock Retirement Plan Services material. Angela Hendrickson is in the process of setting up a meeting with eligible town employees and a representative from John Hancock.

Paychex – SB requests that Angela Hendrickson advise Department Heads that the SB is considering the potential of going to biweekly pay cycles and would like to hear either in writing or at a meeting if they would like to be heard on the matter.

SB noted that RS Fireworks merged with another company and that there will be a new contract to sign but the dates for the Fireworks will stay the same.

SB reviewed proposal by Standard Power and will consider, along with checking quotes from other providers. SB asks Angela Hendrickson to obtain quotes from Fairpoint, Standard Power and North American Power.

Andrew Maneval moved to approve the Road Agent’s suggestion to paint a single yellow line the length of Hancock Road, continuing onto Bonds Corner Road to the town line. All voted in favor.  The Road Agent will get a quote on the work for the SB.

The SB requests that Angela Hendrickson send a final letter to the resident at the intersection of South Road and Chesham Road to remind him to remove the tree or to do it if he has already agreed. If he hasn’t responded, the SB will remove it without further notice.

Departments, Boards, and Committees:
Conservation Commission – SB noted emails from Winston Sims regarding the Agenda for June 7, 2017, Jonathan St. Peter’s commercial business, and email from Winston Sims regarding the Community Well Protection Event.

Other Business:
David Belknap, Health Officer for the Town of Harrisville, met with the SB to discuss repairs to the railing and wood platform slats at the spring on Skatutakee Road as well as replacement of the current sign. He expressed safety concerns given the likelihood of increased foot traffic over the summer, especially by people who may not be as familiar with the access way.  The SB will discuss the matter with the town carpenter.

David Kennard of Wellscroft Farm met with the SB to discuss problem of tractor trailers relying on GPS for directions and getting stuck on back roads if and when they miss the proper turns. He requested that the SB put signage up similar to signs the Town of Nelson uses to prevent drivers from attempting impassable roads for such vehicles. SB will discuss with the Road Agent.
