SB signed weekly cash disbursements in the amount of $4,434.92.
NHRS – Selectmen signed Audit Papers regarding the Police Chief.
SB noted Letter from John Cucchi.
SB acknowledged receipt of message from Angela Hendrickson regarding Eversource and the Highway Garage bill.
Departments:
Assessing – Selectmen reviewed and signed Notice of Intent to Cut Wood or Timber for Broadvest Corp. of Lampman Road (Map-20 Lot-29-9); SB noted need to begin working on RFPs for reevaluation for 2018; SB signed Tax Collector Warrant Property Tax Levy in the amount $1,666,672.00; SB reviewed and signed pages 1 and 2 of Timber Tax Levy for Eric Whittall of Mason Road (Map-30 Lot-8).
Building Inspector – SB reviewed complaint letter for Allen & Carrie Heath of 60 Breed Road (Map-40 Lot-112). Carrie Heath attended the SB meeting to discuss communication with Mike Wilder regarding a potential zoning violation on the construction of a deck. SB suggested the Heaths apply to the ZBA for a variance, under Article 6.1.3, which requires a minimum distance of 50’ from public boundary. SB will discuss the letter with the Building Inspector and asks Angela Hendrickson to contact Mike Wilder to attend SB meeting next week to discuss the Heath matter.
Conservation Commission – SB acknowledged receipt of the email from Winston Sims regarding the Right to Know Laws, the email from Winston regarding the Court Case from John Cucchi, the email from Andrea Polizos on the status of her coming to the HCC Meeting for Wednesday May 10, 2017, and the email from Winston Sims regarding the VLAP Account.
Winston Sims met with SB to discuss the pending lawsuit filed by John Cucchi and to express concern about the conduct of the Cucchis and threats against HCC members. The SB recommended and stated it would support steps the HCC takes regarding rules of conduct at its meetings. The SB also recommended to Mr. Sims that the HCC attend the Planning Board hearings to raise any questions or concerns they have regarding Mr. Cucchi’s subdivision application.
Planning Board – SB noted revised Meeting Minutes for April 12, 2017.
Recycling Center – SB acknowledged receipt of Water Testing Results for the Harrisville Landfill.
Safety Committee – SB noted Minutes for May 11, 2017.
School Board – SB noted Agenda for May 15, 2017 at 4:30 pm.
Tax Collector – Mr. Miner has suggested changes in job description for the Deputy position. SB authorizes Tax Collector to go ahead with advertising for the position and would like to be kept informed of – and be involved in – the process.
Town Clerk – Selectmen signed Oath of Office for Mary Ann Noyer for a one year term on the Safety Committee.
Zoning Board – SB noted Agenda for May 17, 2017.
Other Business:
NH DES – SB noted 2017 Pre-Application Solicitation for Clean Water State Revolving Fund Loan Program and Survey on Local Funding for Local Transportation Options.
SWRPC – SB noted Commission Highlights for April 2017.
Andrew Maneval updated the SB on the timeline for upcoming completion of the SWRPC policy document and that the document would go to the Planning Board first. Mr. Maneval noted that any recommendations or guidelines would ultimately come before the SB.
NH.GOV – SB noted Upcoming Certified Programs and the information on Class B Firefighting Foam and Potential PFCs as well as NH Emergency Preparedness Conference for June 13, 2017.
Old Home Days – Ranae O’Neill met with the SB to discuss the calendar for Old Home Days. Fireworks are scheduled for July 3 with the rain date TBD. Ranae O’Neill requested that the rain date be Friday, July 7 and also requested that the lighting at the beach and on the flagpoles is operating properly. SB requests that Angela Hendrickson mail the letter to residents about parking and related logistics for the upcoming events. Mary Ann Noyer will post the schedule of events on the website.
Cemetery – Leslie Downing met with the Selectmen to discuss repairs to the cemetery fencing and conditions there. Mrs. Downing stated that repairs have begun. SB recommended Leslie contact Charles Michal with the name of the repair man and to arrange payment.
Upcoming Meetings:
May 16th – Blood Borne Pathogens Annual Review at 7:00pm at the Fire Station
May 18th – Tim Carney and Grace Levergood will meet with the Selectmen to discuss the Dam Project.
May 29th – Memorial Day (Office Closed), Remembrance Day Service for Sunday May 28, 2017 at 11:00am at the Veteran’s Park.
June 8th – Tim Carney will meet with the Selectmen at 7:00pm.
July 3rd – Fireworks display. Currently, rain date is July 10, 2017
